SyncFloor Partners With Podcast Hosting Platform Captivate To Simplify Music Licensing

SyncFloor, the search and discovery site for music licensing and maker of SongsForPodcasters, has teamed up with podcast hosting platform Captivate, to simplify music licensing for growth-oriented podcasters.

Musical frequencies in different colors.

In late June, SyncFloor launched its licensed music platform for podcasters. SyncFloor's platform enabled anyone creating video find music for their production - from film and TV to advertisements and broadcasts -, and it lets them do so using natural search terms that fit the way music supervisors and other pros think about music.

SyncFloor offers indie labels, distributors, sync agents and publishers a ready-made storefront to promote their catalogs for sync opportunities.

This newly announced partnership makes SongsForPodcasters, and its rich independent, global music library, accessible to podcast creators in the Captivate community and Podcast Success Academy.

"What I love about what Kirt and his team have done" states Captivate & Rebel Base Media CEO, Mark Asquith, "is that not only is the licensing simple and straight-forward, but the interface and manner in which the platform surfaces music is highly intelligent and makes it significantly easier to find that perfect piece for your show."

“Independent artists have such diverse visions and voices, making them a wonderful resource for podcast-friendly music that’s distinctive and high quality,” notes CEO and co-founder of SyncFloor Kirt Debique. “We’re thrilled to partner with Captivate and Podcast Success Academy to help podcast producers find that perfect track.

Launched by SyncFloor in June 2020, SongsForPodcasters simplified song licensing for podcast creators through customized discovery, pricing, and licensing workflows. All in all, Captivate and Podcast Success Academy producers will now have access to a straightforward interface that makes it  easy to find the perfect track.

With an understanding of the growing popularity of podcasts and the surging demand for music that complements their podcast narratives, SyncFloor has applied its platform technology to create a new site specific to podcast producers, allowing them to find and license tracks for use in their podcasts.

“Music can be just as important to a podcast as it is to an advertisement, in terms of creating the right vibe, but podcasters aren’t typically plugged into today’s complex sync licensing network,” Cestjon McFarland, SyncFloor Co-Founder notes. “Because of this, we decided to create songsforpodcasters.com, a version of our platform specific to their needs.”

Both syncfloor.com and songsforpodcasters.com demonstrate SyncFloor’s vision for a simpler, more efficient sync world. “Everyone wants real-time solutions in today’s fast-paced world,” says McFarland. “We’ve built a platform that enables quick and easy sync transactions, while preserving and even enhancing the creative side of music discovery and the joy of finding the perfect song.”

SyncFloor promotes its "one-stop-shop for music" from familiar brands. SyncFloor aggregates existing labels, publishers, distributors, sync agents, and artist catalogs into a single store with a clean music discovery process combined with a modern workflow and collaboration experience.

The partnership makes SongsForPodcasters, and the best independent music from its partners around the world, accessible to podcast creators in the Captivate community and Podcast Success Academy.
