The Light Culture podcast is hosted by David Hershkovits, founder of Paper Magazine. Hershkovits is a celebrated American Writer who sold Paper Magazine in 2017 (Business of Fashion). Hershkovits believes podcasts will be integral for brands and the media alike as we enter a new era of content consumption. The Light Culture podcast shares interviews with its listeners from today's most compelling social disruptors. For example, their new interview with Yeezy Design Director and "Godfather of the Dad show" Steven Smith, who left Nike to work with Kanye West. 
 
Light Culture will release its interview with Alex Winter on August 21, who is starring in the third reprise of "Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure" with longtime friend Keanu Reeves (New York Times). David also interviewed two star female filmmakers, Lisa Cortes and and Farah X, Directors of hit Netflix documentary "The Remix: Hip Hop x Fashion." Their film shines a light on the women who created luxury fashion looks in hip hop, and demonstrate how those fashions were appropriated by the white luxury fashion industry.  

On episode 53, the podcast focuses on Zoo York, the east coast skateboard company in the early 90s, co-founded by the episode guest Eli Morgan Gesner. A new documentary All the Streets Are Silent, which Eli narrates, tells the story about how a reluctant businessman helped hip hop and skateboarding cross over to birth the streetwear industry.
 
On episode 42 activist, David talks with author, actor and now recording artist Rose McGowan, who has an album out called Planet 9. During the episode, they talk about astral projection, Marilyn Manson, being brave and life after Harvey Weinstein.
 
Episode 27 introduces Xeni Jardin, a "one-time straight edge" who discovered cannabis after being diagnosed with cancer. A digital media commentator, tech culture journalist and co-editor and contributor to the website Boing Boing, she is also at the forefront of investigations into Jeffrey Epstein, the pedophile who famously funded dubious scientific research and died in prison under suspicious circumstances. Hershkovits talks to the former National Public Radio, Wired magazine and Wired News contributor about Epstein, cannabis, cancer and the New York tech scene of the 90s.
