Say Their Name Podcast New Season Spotlights Black Women Killed By Police



CUMULUS MEDIA and DCP Entertainment have announced the second season line-up for DCP’s award-winning podcast Say Their Name on the Cumulus Podcast Network.
The series focuses on the stories of Black individuals who were assaulted and killed by police and in ‘Stand Your Ground’ states, with an emphasis on the women who often get overlooked. The first episode in the series, now live, marks the one-year anniversary of the attack on the United States Capitol with a look back at Miriam Carey. With her infant in the car, Miriam was killed in 2013 by the same law enforcement departments that allowed rioters into the Capitol last January.

Say Their Name focuses on the assault and killing of Black people by police and in ‘Stand Your Ground’ states, highlighting incidents throughout the United States. The series memorializes these individuals, sharing their lives through the words of the people that knew them best; and illustrates how these tragedies affect their families and communities both in the immediate aftermath as well as long after media attention and focus have shifted elsewhere.

Say Their Name offers solutions, spreads awareness, and supports these families and communities, including through a crowdfunding campaign throughout the series to directly benefit the families impacted by these incidents (they receive 100% of those proceeds.
