Season Two Of The “You Heard Me Write” Podcast Premieres

YOU HEARD ME WRITE, a Spotify podcast, is premiering season two. Bringing together artists and creatives from different disciplines and backgrounds inspiring collaboration and colorful conversation, You Heard Me Write explores the roles of creativity, anonymity and the power of connection between people from different walks of life through an artistic journey.

Every Thursday, you can join host Kacie Willis on another adventure in anonymous art making as we journey to New York, Atlanta and Los Angeles and meet 30 amazing creative people along the way.

In the season two premiere episode, the first stop on our You Heard Me Write Road Trip is New York City, as it plays host to sound artists Adrian Bridges and Kia Shavon. The duo are given plenty to chew on while they interpret writer Robin Hopkins’ richly personal essay using a delicious mixture of sounds.

HostKacie Willis, a creator and arts advocate based out of Atlanta, is a proud alum of Spotify’s Sound Up podcasting accelerator program, which over the past four years, has uplifted aspiring creators from historically underrepresented backgrounds to provide the support, training, and tools to create their own shows.

After her participation in the program, Willis formed the production company, Could Be Pretty Cool, whose mission is to produce unique creative experiences to inspire community building through the arts.

This podcast features artists collaborating on a multi-media group project without having any knowledge about the identities of their counterparts. Only after the project's completion are the artists introduced to one another in a Salon-style roundtable discussion as they explore the roles of creativity, anonymity and the power of connection between people from different walks of life.
