Bloomberg Podcast "The Pay Check" Premieres: Why Experts Got So Wrong About the Economics Of The Pandemic
Bloomberg is premiering the fourth season of its podcast, “The Pay Check” with new episodes airing every Thursday.
This season looks at how the pandemic created a global economic crisis that economists and experts expected would lead to greater wealth inequality than ever before. However, that's not exactly how things have played out. What happened varied widely, depending on how governments and societies stepped in to address the crisis and what kinds of foundations they had going in.
Host Rebecca Greenfield along with a team of Bloomberg News reporters heads to seven countries around the world to find out how this world-changing event shifted the balance between the very richest and the very poorest -- and everyone in between. What they found was surprising.

Many podcast fans may not realize how much energy, money, and resources Bloomberg has placed in podcasting. The company has a large roster of business-related podcasts, some for the business nerd who wants to talk EBITDA (don't ask) or inventory turnover rate (yawn) and other podcasts for people who just want to understand the business cycle, economic trends, and forecasting.
Beyond The Pay Check, Bloomberg has other original podcasts, including Blood River, Odd Lots, Prognosis, and Stephanomics. Its flagship podcast, Bloomberg Businessweek, has been providing valuable financial and economic information to listeners for years.
