Today, we have two new podcasts that could not be more different. The first one is a glimpse into a different woman's life in every episode.
The second one is new territory for two social media stars who prank right-wing politicians and conduct interviews with right-wing voters who don't seem to know...reality.

Finally! A Show has no host, no narrator, and no interviews. Each 30-minute episode of the fifteen-episode season invites listeners to hang out with a different woman as she takes you through her day.
Launching on March 13, this podcast is produced by Bradley Cooper’s Lea Pictures, iHeartPodcasts, and Jane Marie’s Little Everywhere.
Social media marketing and influencer culture relies on keeping women in a perpetual state of aspiring to be someone else. Finally! A Show features women’s lives as they actually are. Executive Producer Jane Marie, known for “The Dream, Michelle Obama: The Light Podcast” and “This American Life” said, “Reality TV is a guilty pleasure for me because it’s fun to be a fly on the wall in other lives, with all of their messy feelings and unexpected twists, but we all know it’s fake, or at least highly scripted and edited. ‘Finally! A Show’ has 100% more reality, and it’s just refreshing to hear women talk uninterrupted without being coached to fit a narrative, and without feeling like I’m being told how to live.”
The new podcast’s subjects include an 83-year-old calendar girl shopping for a vibrator, a fish-throwing songstress delighting the crowd at an outdoor market, a young mother turned death care provider, and a TikTok viral plus-size boutique owner. Listeners will encounter cats both domestic and feral, ballroom culture, abortion pills, and a giant typewriter at a crematorium – all just part of the unique architecture of a day in a woman’s life in America.
To me, it sounds different, unique and worth a listen.

The Good Liars, (Jason Selvig and Davram Stiefler) are left-wing pranksters who have transformed nearly every political event of the past decade into shareable content. Even Jimmy Kimmel has taken notice of their most recent antics – giving Ron DeSantis a “participation trophy” at the Iowa Caucus.
The Good Liars have announced that they "are set to dive headfirst into a sea of comedic opportunities. Anticipate an abundance of fodder and viral content as they continue to navigate the ever-evolving political landscape, injecting humor into every twist and turn."
The Good Liars Tell the Truth will include Jason and Davram jumping into the big stories of the day, talking about their experiences, unpacking their most recent pranks and interviews, and welcoming guests from the world of comedy and politics.
While I think I find agreement with their politics, I'm not a fan of pranking politicians, regardless of their odious beliefs. It remains to be seen how their "shtick" will go over on a podcast.
