In 2022, Alzheimer's disease was responsible for more than
120,000 deaths in the United States. According to a 2022 study, around 90,000 people are diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in the United States each year. This is a 50 percent increase from the previous estimate of 60,000 diagnoses annually.
Why mention these two diseases? Because medical researchers have found a strong correlation between a person's gut and these two grave conditions.
With November being Alzheimer’s Awareness Month, I wanted to let you know about a new podcast called Heal Your Gut, Save Your Brain, hosted by Dr. Partha Nandi, an Emmy-winning TV host and gastroenterologist, and his wife, Kali Nandi, RN.
