Three Ear-Worthy iHeart Podcasts: How To Money, Jay Shetty, Therapy For Black Girls

In mid-2019, iHeart announced that its

database of podcasts has passed the 250,000 mark and includes its string of joint podcast partnerships with guest stars like Will Ferrell, Joe Rogan, Anna Farris, Dax Shepherd, Chelsea Handler and more.

While quantity does not equate with quality, fair is fair. iHeart has produced numerous excellent podcasts.

In this article, we'll discuss just three of them.

How To Money

Best friends Joel and Matt are the co-hosts of How to Money, which is all about providing the knowledge and tools that average, everyday people need to thrive in areas like debt payoff, DIY investing, and crucial money tricks that will provide continuous help along your journey.

The co-hosts say: "We believe that access to unbiased and jargon-free personal finance guidance is more necessary than ever before. When you handle your money in a purposeful, thoughtful way that works for your lifestyle, you can really start living a rich life."

The show must be doing something right. It is close to producing 1,000 episodes. The co-hosts are funny without tripping over themselves to accomplish the goal and, best of all, they know their shit.

In a recent episode, Joel and Matt  chat with expert Jesse Mecham with one goal in mind: "Budgeting Like a Beast."

Listen as they discuss why you need a budget in the first place, Jesse’s four rules of budgeting, how often you should spend on your budget every month, his approach to credit cards and debt and more.

 Therapy For Black Girls

There are plenty of podcast psychologists out in the audio verse. They're not all good. Happily for listeners, Dr. Joy Harden Bradford of Therapy for Black Girls is one of the best.

Dr. Joy Harden Bradford is a licensed psychologist, speaker and the host of the wildly popular mental health podcast, Therapy for Black Girls. Her work focuses on making mental health topics more relevant and accessible for Black women, and she delights in using pop culture to illustrate psychological concepts.

I listen to Dr. Harden Bradford regularly, although I'm not Black or a girl. I find the good doctor to be insightful, a good listener, and she offers a clear-headed view of reality and what we need to do to cope with the world more effectively.

Dr. Joy Harden Bradford welcomes 2025 with year three of her "January Jumpstart" series. This year, she talks with personal trainer, nutrition coach and certified yoga instructor Les Alfred about questions many listeners are likely asking themselves at the start of a new year: How can I “glow-up” into my best self? Listen now
