Tink Media's Podcast Marketing Magic Launches Substack Chat For Premium Subscribers

The growth in podcast advertising and sponsorship has attracted a surfeit of marketing firms. If you're an indie podcaster, it's predictable that marketing your show will be your weak spot. For me, there are only a few podcasting marketing firms I trust. Tink Media is one of them. The people have two skills that often evade other firms -- being passionate about podcasting and indie podcasters, and designing a strategy based on a budget.

Tink Media is excited to announce a new expanded offering for its Substack newsletter, Podcast Marketing Magic, for 2025’s International Podcast Day (September 30th).

For premium subscribers, Podcast Marketing Magic will be conducting a hands-on, interactive, live podcast marketing chat. This premium offering will also be available for free to the first 12
subscribers who enter the chat on International Podcast Day Eve (September 29th) starting at 10:00AM Eastern.

International Podcast Day and the opening of the chat will be celebrated by a Substack live stream with the Tink team on International Podcast Day, September 30th, from 10AM-12PM
Eastern. In the live stream, they’ll be discussing the chat, but also some of our favorite podcasts of the year, thoughts on some of the biggest podcast news of the year, and what we anticipate will be the most sought-after recommendation in this year’s Audio Delicacies.

With every Podcast Marketing Magic edition on Fridays, premium subscribers will receive one relevant prompt connecting the edition to their own podcast marketing. Every Monday, co-writers Shreya Sharma (she/her) and/or Wil Williams (they/them) will host open hours from 10AM-11AM Eastern – they’ll answer questions about podcast marketing, connect podcast friends in the chat, and discuss news and trends.

I believe that this will also be a great space for independent podcasters to talk up their podcast, what they’ve been working on, and any success stories they might want to share.

“Tink is all about podcast friendships; connecting podcasters with each other,” said Tink Media CEO and Podcast Marketing Magic founder Lauren Passell (she/her). “We’re excited that this will not only give podcasters who don’t always have resources to work with us a way to learn what we know, but also give them a chance to work with each other. That’s ultimately what we believe grows audiences.”

“I’m so excited about this chat that it’s been painful to keep quiet about it until now,” said Podcast Marketing Magic writer and editor Wil Williams. “As someone whose first career was in
education, I cannot wait to help teach Podcast Marketing Magic readers everything we know about marketing. Having this direct, interactive approach means we can give such granular
feedback to our participants that the broad, public PMM format just doesn’t allow.

This is exactly what makes Tink great to me: if you can’t afford working with them for a full marketing campaign, you might be able to afford weekly feedback sessions – and if not, Podcast Marketing Magic itself will always remain free to all.”

“I’m thrilled to be opening our chat!,” said PMM writer and editor Shreya Sharma. “In the past, we’ve had readers reach out with great questions that we haven’t always been able to answer. Hopefully, this chat helps tackle some of those and help them grow their audiences.”

A premium subscription to Podcast Marketing Magic is priced at $8/month or $80 annually and can be purchased via Substack.
Writers Shreya Sharma and Wil Williams are available for comment and interview. Tink Media CEO and Podcast Marketing Magic founder Lauren Passell may also be available for comment by request.
