My adopted barn cat Moogie cannot verbalize his food preferences. Moogie cannot use social media or make that "just drank sour milk" face like humans to signal food disgust. At times, Moogie will offer clear signs he's "over" a food by sniffing it for a while and then turning tail and walking away without so much as a taste. Cats are famously finicky -- like a food judge on some Food Network competition show. Dogs, meanwhile, embrace a more "buffet" style of eating with an Olive Garden "all you can eat" breadstick approach to gorging themselves.
