Crime Show Podcast: What Happened To MMA Fighter Lee Murray?

 The Spotify/Gimlet “Crime Show,” dives into the deep end of the true-crime pool with a different stroke every episode. 

The podcast is in the midst of a two-episode tale that explores the rise and fall of the Southeast London MMA fighter Lee Murray, who pulled off one of the biggest bank heists ever.

In between Lee’s training as a rising MMA fighter, he maintained a double life chained to the streets of London, but was adamant about ensuring it never interfered with his fighting. When his questionable second life catches up to him, Lee’s worlds collide and his future as an MMA fighter is brought to a halt - ultimately leaving him in prison in Morocco.

The second episode was just released and concludes the gritty two-part series exploring the rise and fall of the Southeast London MMA fighter Lee Murray, who pulled off one of the biggest bank heists ever.

In this new episode (released June 29), “The Takedown, pt. 2producer Matthew Nelson returns to the mic to share the conclusion to Murray’s story, and the high-stakes crime that led to his downfall. In between Lee’s training as a rising MMA fighter, he maintained a double life rooted in the streets of London, until his worlds ultimately collided and his future as an MMA fighter was brought to a halt - leaving him in prison in Morocco.

Listeners should buckle up for a helter-skelter ride through London’s criminal underworld, bloodstained MMA gyms, an audacious bank robbery, and a manhunt that spanned continents.
