Fifth Episode of International Infamy: The Monster Of Florence Is Still At Large

The fifth episode of Spotify’s latest original true-crime podcast from Parcast, INTERNATIONAL INFAMY, hosted by Ashley Flowers is available now.

This latest episode explores the chilling unsolved crimes of the infamous “Il Monstro” in Florence, Italy. The Monster of Florence committed sixteen murders throughout 1968-1985, instilling a wave of terror into the people of Italy, and after many years of dead end leads many believe the killer is still alive today.

After a 40-year manhunt, hundreds have been accused of being the Monster, many have been jailed, but the real killer has never been caught.

Ashley Flowers investigates years of evidence, stories, and theories of the infamous unsolved crimes, posing the questions: Is the Monster of Florence still alive and well? Is there more than one killer? And has the monster been hiding in plain sight this entire time?

Every few decades, there is a crime that rocks the entire country - the Lindbergh kidnapping, the Manson Family Murders, OJ Simpson, etc. - and these infamous stories have become part of America’s cultural DNA. Every country around the world has at least one case of this nature, some of which are almost too shocking to believe, and International Infamy will explore fifteen different crimes from fifteen different countries, including: in France, a conman whose charade ends in mass murder. In Mexico, a masked wrestler turned serial killer. In Iceland, six people confess to a murder that never actually happened. And more.

In International Infamy, Ashley Flowers explores international cases for the first time, breaking down interesting and high-profile crimes from a foreign country in each episode, while sharing the twists and turns of the case and also exploring the cultural details that make the stories unique.
