Obamas and Spotify say "bye-bye" to each other

When The former first family’s production company, Higher Ground, signed with Spotify last year, hope sprang eternal that this union would be fruitful for both parties. However, Spotify has been guilty of "podcasting vaporware," announcing podcasts and podcast initiatives that are more fiction than fact. Therefor, Higher Ground announced that it won’t continue its Spotify deal.

The Michelle Obama Podcast, one of the platform’s most popular shows of 2020, and Renegades: Born in the USA were time-restricted exclusives for months before other listeners had access.

Higher Ground is apparently entertaining other offers from podcast networks.

Conquer those Monday morning jitters with Season Two of the Sunday Scaries podcast

On Sunday, April 24, Headspace Studios, the everyday mindfulness app for stress, anxiety, sleep, focus, fitness, and more, are helping listeners combat anxiety at the start of the week by kicking off season two of its original podcast series, Sunday Scaries.

Headspace mindfulness expert and teacher, Dora Kamau, is helping parents, students, professionals and all, kick start their week through guided meditation practices to help put their Monday anxiety and thoughts into action.

Dora’s meditation and mindfulness journey began in 2010. After experiencing a series of unfortunate events, she started exploring holistic approaches to heal her mind, body and spirit. By 2016, Dora was fully committed to a daily practice and since then, she’s been on a mission to share her healing journey with others — creating spaces for people of all backgrounds to experience and embrace their full selves.

Dora’s desire to teach meditation stemmed from the lack of diversity in the mindfulness community, and a yearning for more wellness spaces with black representation. In 2019, she completed a formal 200-hr meditation teacher training with the Lab of Meditation. Over the course of this program, her meditation practice evolved as she learned about mindfulness through the lenses of a trauma-informed practice, social and racial justice, clinical psychology, and science.

The Northwoods Baseball Radio Network Is a Sleep Aid!

Confession time: baseball puts me to sleep. Too many periods where nothing happens. The pitcher stares at the catcher, who stares back. The hitter stares at the pitcher. There's a lot of staring in baseball.

In a devilishly clever use of baseball, the Northwoods Baseball Radio Network has developed a "baseball" podcast to help people fall asleep.

Northwoods Baseball Sleep Radio is a full-length fake baseball game. There is no yelling, no loud commercials, no weird volume spikes. Fans call it "baseball radio ASMR".

It is the perfect podcast for sleeping or relaxing, if you're into that kind of thing.

Episode 002 - The Cadillac Cars vs. The Manistee Eagles

Philip T Hunter wrote and recorded most of the ads, and Corrbette Pasko is the soothing voice of the WSLP Station IDs.
