Spotify RADAR Podcasters Launched To Help Creators Around The World

 It's just too hard to always dump on Spotify in the podcast space. Sure, they have Joe Rogan, but they also have Science Vs. They have a terrific music podcast like Mic Check that unveils music from cultures around the world. Spotify also has a robust children's podcast programming strategy. 

Now, Spotify deserves a halo again as it launches RADAR Podcasters in 15 global markets. This new program aims to elevate emerging podcasters around the world, providing them with support to grow their audiences. Additionally, Spotify is announcing the initial slate of podcasters that will be spotlighted with the RADAR program (full list below). 

On a quarterly basis, participating markets will give 2-3 emerging creators a spotlight – selected from the millions of podcasters using Anchor, Spotify’s podcast creation platform. Chosen creators will benefit from editorial placements on podcast playlists and community hubs to gain exposure right where audiences are listening.

 According to Spotify, the RADAR Podcasters program is the latest in their ongoing commitment to investing in its creator experience. Other recent initiatives around supporting creator growth include:

  • The Editorial Submission form allows any creator on Spotify to submit their podcast for consideration to be featured by the editorial team. 
  • The Creator Space on Spotify spotlights a community of Anchor creators and offers educational content to help support Spotify podcasters. 
  • The new creator Discord channel offers an opportunity for podcasters to directly interact with other creators.
