Culpable Podcast Returns For Season Two: Murder In A Yellow Jeep

You may recall the 2019 investigative podcast with over 25 million downloads, “Culpable,” which dove into the suspicious death of 21-year-old Christian Andreacchio. The podcast from Tenderfoot TV and Resonate Recordings is back today for season two, with an entirely new case.

You can listen to the first two episodes now, HERE.

This season, co-hosts Dennis Cooper (Chief Creative Officer at Resonate Recordings) and Jessica Noll (investigative journalist; producer and writer, “Bardstown”) take listeners to Ripley, Ohio, where, in 2013, 22-year-old Brittany Stykes was tragically shot while driving with her 14-month-old daughter in the car. Alongside the Brown County Sheriff’s Office, Cooper and Noll investigate what happened to Stykes, and why

They interview a number of people involved, including some of the top persons of interest, and most notably, Aubree Stykes, the now ten-year-old daughter and survivor of the incident, in her first ever interview. On August 28, 2013, Brittany Stykes, a 22-year-old pregnant mother from Ripley, Ohio was driving with her 14-month-old daughter to her parents’ home to celebrate her father’s birthday. She never made it to her parent’s house.

Later that evening, a motorist found a yellow Jeep Wrangler off the side of the highway in rural Brown County, Ohio. What he found inside was an unfathomable scene; Stykes in the driver’s seat, shot and killed, and her daughter found secure in her carseat, bleeding from a single shot to the head.

While there has been a lot of speculation surrounding who killed Stykes, the case remains unsolved and is the newest subject of the true-crime podcast, “Culpable.”

In the new season of Tenderfoot TV and Resonate Recordings’ investigative podcast, “Culpable,” host Dennis Cooper (Chief Creative Officer, Resonate Recordings) teams up with Jessica Noll (investigative journalist; producer and writer, “Bardstown”) joining the Brown County Sheriff’s Office in their investigation to uncover what happened to Stykes, and why. Throughout the season, Cooper and Noll interview a number of people, including Craig Labell, the driver who first discovered Stykes on the side of U.S. Road 68; first responders at the crime scene; and even some of the case’s top persons of interest, alongside some current prisoners with intel to share.

And for the first time, Cooper and Noll speak to Aubree Stykes, the now ten-year-old daughter and survivor of the incident.

The season features three bonus episodes, in which Cooper and Noll flip the script and interview each other, based on their findings and coverage of the case. This marks the second season of the podcast, which premiered in June 2019 and investigated the tragic and mysterious death of 21-year-old Christian Andreacchio from Meridian, Mississippi. The show earned more than 25 million downloads and made significant movement in the investigation, which Cooper and Noll hope to do again with Season 2.

The first two episodes of “Culpable” season two premiered on October 27 followed by the first bonus episode. New episodes will be released each Thursday, with two additional bonus episodes coming later in the season. All episodes can be accessed anywhere podcasts are available. For Tenderfoot+ subscribers, they will receive ad-free episodes, early access, and exclusive bonus content.

“Culpable” season one host Dennis Cooper returns as host in season two, this time alongside investigative journalist Jessica Noll, who originally brought the case to his attention back in August 2021, as it took place in her hometown of Brown County, Ohio.
