iHeart Debuts A “Brand New” Podcast Series For And About Brands

  Do you love branding? Do you love marketing? Do you love the inside story on branding and marketing? Then Brand New is a podcast for you.

Last week, iHeartPodcasts announced the launch of a new bi-weekly, 10-episode series Brand New, co-produced by iHeartMedia and Brand New Labs. Brand New shifts from the interview format of most business, marketing and media podcasts and instead invites listeners in on a lively conversation between two of the marketing industry’s most dynamic and well-connected leaders: Marisa Thalberg and Steven Wolfe Pereira.

The c-suite co-hosts, who are also close friends, will tackle trending topics in the world of technology, entertainment, advertising, media and marketing, particularly through the lens of brands and the people powering them.

Geared for industry insiders – from senior executives to those first working their way up the ladder – Thalberg and Wolfe Pereira’s professional and personal relationship, along with their unique insights and camaraderie, will distinguish Brand New as an industry must-listen series. Each week, they will be talk about a combination of “ripped from the headlines” issues combined with topics of ongoing interest, from why “brand” shouldn’t be a dirty word to what the c-suite doesn’t understand about marketers to what it takes just to be a good leader today. Season one of Brand New debuted its first episode featuring real marketers’ take on Cannes – what it was about, what it should be about, and more.

“Steven and I have had such varied experiences spanning start-ups to Fortune 50 companies and what we both share is a passion and love for this industry,” said co-host Thalberg. 

Recognized as an influential Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) in the world and inducted into Forbes’ CMO Hall of Fame for her tenures at Taco Bell, Lowe’s and The Estee Lauder Companies, Marisa Thalberg currently serves as the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer for SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment, Inc.

Steven Wolfe Pereira added, “We are not doing this to promote an agency or sell a product.
