Spotify’s Case 63 Podcast Returns For Season Two

Fiction podcasts have been on a roller coaster ride the last two years. Some are up, and some are down. The trend line is decidedly mixed. Spotify’s Case 63 has been arguably one of the more successful fiction podcasts.

This week, Spotify announced that the thrilling audio series Case 63 will return for Season Two onTuesday, September 26. All 10 episodes will be available for listeners to binge on premiere day on Spotify or wherever you get your podcasts.

The series stars Academy Award winner Julianne Moore (Still Alice, Boogie Nights, Far from Heaven) as Eliza Beatrix Knight and Emmy Award nominee Oscar Isaac (Moon Knight, Scenes from a Marriage, Star Wars: The Last Jedi) as Dr. Vincent Caldwell. Joining Moore and Isaac this season are Zoë Winters (Succession) who voices Marie Baker, a teenage girl whose very existence might be the key to the future, and Emmy and Tony nominee Arian Moayad (Succession, Inventing Anna) as Oliver Collins, a computer hacker with a knack for decryption, and perhaps a higher purpose to the mission.

Season one  topped the Spotify Podcast Charts in six countries, and the series landed within the top five podcasts in Spotify’s Wrapped 2022. The series also became the most streamed scripted podcast in the world.

Season two picks the story back up where listeners left off - It’s 2012. Eliza Beatrix Knight, (Moore), wakes confused in an airport. Hospitalized, she is treated by a resident psychiatrist with a familiar voice - a Dr. Vincent Caldwell, (Isaac), But her new reality poses more threats and questions than answers, and with the future of humanity at risk, Beatrix must race to unravel her new present in order to save the future.

Case 63 was created by Chilean screenwriter Julio Rojas and is produced by Spotify Studios, Moore’s production company FortySixty, and Isaac’s Mad Gene Media, with both Moore and Isaac serving as executive producers on the podcast. Catch up onseason one before the story continues on September 26.

Last year's premiere season of Case 63 marked the first time a Spotify Original podcast from a non-English speaking market had been adapted into multiple languages.
