Melissa Etheridge Joins Recovery 360 Podcast For A Special Episode

The lawsuits and monetary awards against drug companies, pharmacies, and drug distributors are constantly in the news. What's been pushed from the top line of the news is the ongoing destruction of so many lives due to addiction.

Opioids were involved in 80,411 overdose deaths in 2021 (75.4% of all drug overdose deaths). In 2022, 73,654 people died from a fentanyl overdose in the US, more than double the amount of deaths from three years prior in 2019.

iHeartMedia Philadelphia and Recovery Centers of America have released a special episode of “Recovery 360: Conversations on Addiction and Recover.” with Grammy and Academy Award-winning singer/songwriter Melissa Etheridge

Etheridge, who tragically lost her son Beckett in 2020 following his years-long battle with opioid addiction, joins the hosts for a thoughtful conversation on substance abuse, mental health issues in families and strength and resilience in the face of loss.

In episode two, Etheridge offers lessons learned after the death of her son: “Let yourself off the hook, find peace with the loss and look for ways to get joy and happiness back into your life.” The newly debuted
“Recovery 360” iHeartPodcast is dedicated to exploring pathways to treatment and recovery for individuals struggling with addiction.
