iHeart Releases A New Year New You Playlist for 2024

It may be that a large media company like iHeart does indeed have a heart. The concept for a playlist of its podcasts that help listeners get started in the new year, 2024, is inspired...and inspiring. Kudos to supremely talented iHeart Communications Staff Writer Ale Russian (yes, it's his real name.)

The beginning of January is the ideal and accepted time to make positive changes in our lives.

iHeartPodcasts is sharing some of the best wellness podcasts to help you feel your best with the "New Year, New You" playlist. Whatever the new year brings you, tune into these feel-good shows for all things self-help, inspiration and mental health.

Up first is a special episode of "On Purpose with Jay Shetty." In his last episode of 2023, Jay dives into the biggest lessons he learned in the year and what he's bringing into 2024. Let Jay guide you as he explains positive stress, distress and the lessons he learned this year that are meant to be carried forward and put into practice. It's not just about learning; it's about application, about making these lessons a living, breathing part of our lives. Tune in to close off the year and prepare yourself for a beautiful journey in 2024.

Next up is "Therapy for Black Girls," in which Dr. Joy Harden Bradford, a licensed psychologist in Atlanta, Georgia, talks about all things mental health, personal development, and all the small decisions we can make to become the best possible version of ourselves. In this episode, resident astrologer and returning guest, Mecca Woods, joins the show to help decode the cosmic currents and help listeners pause, reflect and set intentions for the journey ahead.

Also on the list is "It’s OK That You’re Not OK with Megan Devine" with grief expert and psychotherapist Megan Devine. Her latest two-part episode, "New Year, Same Grief (and the Math of Suffering)," dives into what happens when you have to face a new year without your person in it (or without the health you used to have) with special guest, historian, author and queen of awkward conversations, Kate Bowler. Queue up both episodes to explore topics including how to have hope for the year to come when right now maybe isn’t so great, and acceptance, moving forward and ferocious self-advocacy.

These podcasts and many more are all featured on the "New Year, New You" playlist.

Thanks again go out to Ale Russian.
