“Murder: True Crime Stories” Launches With Chandra Levy Murder

It's true crime all the time --on broadcast TV; on Cable; On Streaming: and, of course, on podcasts. These true-crime shows --in formats from podcasts to TV shows -- garner eyeballs and ears, which makes advertisers happy.

Because there are a lot of true-crime podcasts, that doesn't make the new ones that are launched inferior to existing shows in that genre. In fact, newer true-crime podcasts often discover new angles to explore that set them apart from the gridlock of other true-crime shows.

For example, Crime House just unveiled Murder: True-Crime Stories, a new original podcast powered by PAVE Studios, that launched on Tuesday, May 14.

The show's marketing line is: "Delving into the depths of history’s most notorious murders, the series goes beyond the crime scene to uncover the real story and spotlight those impacted the most. Each week, listeners will be transported into the heart of the investigation, gaining insight into the complexities of these cases and the enduring impact they leave behind."

The series will be available across all podcast platforms including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and more.

The inaugural episodes of Murder: True Crime Stories will focus on the compelling case of Chandra Levy, an intern in Washington D.C. whose mysterious disappearance in May 2001 erupted into a nationwide scandal with investigators focused on all the wrong leads. Listeners can tune in to the first two episodes, "The Disappearance: Chandra Levy, Pt. 1" and "The Congressman: Chandra Levy, Pt. 2," on May 14, with “The Discovery: Chandra Levy, Pt. 3” releasing the following week on May 21. Subsequent episodes focused on new cases will be released every Tuesday thereafter.

It is sadly a murder with missteps, twists, turns, and surprises, which makes for an engrossing narrative.

Founded by Max Cutler, PAVE Studios is a recently launched media company that is building a unique ecosystem of genre-specific studios and working alongside the top creators to unveil an array of fresh content across video, audio, books, live experiences, merchandise and more.
