New Video Podcast: CultureCon Uncut Debuts

Anytime, a podcast is coupled with a live event, especially one such as this one -- which champions culture, community, entrepreneurship and diverse creatives -- that is a win for the listeners, the podcasters, and society as a whole.

Spotify and CultureCon Studios have launched a new original limited podcast series CultureCon Uncut, hosted by Imani Ellis, with new episodes dropping each week on the road to CultureCon taking place in New York City on Saturday, October 5 and Sunday, October 6.

CultureCon Uncut is a podcast for creatives, thinkers, and innovators. Host Imani Ellis, founder and CEO of CultureCon and The Creative Collective, interviews Black culture-shifters who have forged their own paths, often against the odds. Imani dives into the highs, lows, and messy middles of their careers. Whether you're starting your own creative journey or looking to connect with new ideas, CultureCon Uncut pulls back the curtain on the creative process of some of today’s biggest visionaries – uncut and unfiltered.

The new original series
will feature influential leaders, artists and activists in our community, unpacking their stories to inspire the next generation to relentlessly pursue their greatest ambitions. Guests include Journalist and birthFUND Founder Elaine Welteroth, Actor and Author Jay Ellis, Beauty and Wellness Creative Director Sir John, Uncle Nearest CEO and Founder Fawn Weaver, and more.

“We’re so excited to collaborate with Spotify to amplify journeys of some incredible visionaries,” said Imani Ellis, Founder and CEO of CultureCon. “The vulnerability and rawness of each episode is sure to inspire the next generation of world-changing creatives.”

“Our newest content arm, CultureCon Studios, is on a mission to amplify Black and Brown creatives’ stories and impact,” said Shareese Bembury-Coakley, Vice President of Partnerships and Business Development at CultureCon. “We’re so excited to partner with Spotify to introduce the first of many exciting audio projects.”

CultureCon Uncut is executive produced by Spotify in partnership with CultureCon Studio.
