Tenth Season of Slow Burn: The Rise Of Fox News
Slate released the trailer for the new season of its award-winning podcast Slow Burn. This season, out September 18th, is called Slow Burn: The Rise of Fox News. You can listen to the trailer HERE and watch a teaser HERE.
For its 10th season, host Josh Levin – Slow Burn’s Editorial Director and host of its fourth season on David Duke – takes listeners back to a crucial inflection point in American history: the moment between 2000 and 2004 when Fox News first surged to power and a bunch of people rose up to try and stop it.
Throughout
the season you’ll hear from the hosts, reporters, and producers who
built Fox News, many who’ve never spoken out before. You’ll also hear
from Fox’s biggest antagonists—the political operatives, journalists,
and comedians who attacked it, investigated it, and tried to mock it
into submission. And you’ll hear from Fox’s victims, who are still
coming to terms with how a cable news channel upended their lives.

Wondery to release new Criminal Attorney podcast series
Wondery’s newest true-crime podcast, Criminal Attorney, debuts on September 23, and you can listen to the trailer here.
Award-winning hip-hop personality/journalist Brandon “Jinx” Jenkins (Conviction, Mogul, RapCaviar, Complex, REVOLT), hosts the six-episode podcast, which recounts the rise and fall of ruthless defense attorney Paul Bergrin. In the early 2000s in Newark, NJ – one of the country’s most violent cities at the time – he represented a range of famous and notorious clients involved in heinous acts like prostitution, murder, drug dealing, and gang leading. Bergrin somehow always came out a winner, and Jinx reveals how far Bergrin was actually willing to go – even if it meant becoming a criminal himself – to get rid of anyone opposed to his client and obtain victory.
The series marks the debut of Wondery’s newest true-crime franchise; each season of Criminal Attorney will feature a story of legal corruption and courtroom scandal, centering on lawyers and attorneys that put their thumb on the scales of justice (Cue the Law & Order dun-dun).
