The Unborn premieres -- Where reality and fantasy merge
In The Unborn we meet Jared and Kristy Akron: the perfect small-town couple living the dream—newlyweds, a cozy home, and twins on the way. But when cracks start showing in their flawless life, Jared’s suspicions lead him into a dark, twisted mystery. What was once love now feels like a game of deception, where reality unravels one chilling clue at a time.
This iHeart true-crime podcast is hosted by actress Trisha LaFache (Amazon Prime’s
Jury Duty). Set in a small town in Western Pennsylvania, this series
delves into the bizarre and chilling story of Jared and Kristy Akron, a
couple whose lives were upended by a mysterious and rare condition that
turned love and hope into deception and darkness. The Unborn was released on the iHeartRadio app and all major podcast platforms on November 12.
“Pseudocyecis is the new Munchausens By Proxy” says Audio Up’s chief creative officer Jimmy Jellinek. “The idea that something like this can even exist much less drive someone to do incredibly evil things is why podcasts exist in the first place. 'The Unborn' will have you saying WTF from beginning to end.”
When doctors informed Kristy that she was not pregnant, she concocted an elaborate charade to sustain the illusion, crafting false ultrasound images, positive pregnancy tests, and even orchestrating a staged gender reveal party. Her husband, Jared, a kind-hearted and unsuspecting man from rural Pennsylvania, became entangled in the deception. Unaware of the depth of her illness, he went along with her narrative, genuinely believing he was about to become a father. But when the truth began to crack through Kristy’s facade, her obsession took a darker turn.

The Ideal Investor Show for those interested in wealth potential
The Ideal Investor Show is subtitled The Path To Early Retirement. That's smart because the host, Axel Meierhoefer, alerts listeners to the topic and premise right away.
Meierhoefer's elevator pitch is: "Welcome to the IDEAL Investor Show. This show is created for anybody interested in being financially free and understanding the benefits of generating passive income through long-term investing."
The creator / host of the show, Dr. Axel Meierhoefer, has overseen $17 million+ mentees’ investment in real estate, managed $2 million in personal RE portfolio and he's a real estate author, mentor & investor for 15+ years. Meierhoefer has on a book on Amazon,
I am not an investor, due to a fatal character flaw (I don't have any money) but for those interested in investing and wealth creation, the show has many valuable tips.
I've listened to several episodes and learned a lot about compounding interest, retirement investing, and real estate investing. The episodes (more than 380) are concise, often about 10 minutes, and Meierhoefer is a competent host and narrator.
The show could improve their show notes, which are basically non-existent.
The Ideal Investor Show also has an excellent Substack page for those interested in reading more.
