 Today, we are offering two ear-worthy podcasts with diametrically opposed worldviews. First, we'll discuss My Legacy, a new iHeart podcast series about an intimate look into the stories behind the personas of beloved public figures and influential leaders.

Then, we will travel to the dark, evil side of life and discuss a new podcast via an expansion of its true-crime franchise -- Monster -- about the serial killer known as the BTK Killer.

My Legacy

 

  iHeartMedia, The Martin Luther King III Foundation and Legacy+ have announced My Legacy, a new series that will offer listeners an intimate look into the stories behind the personas of beloved public figures and influential leaders. Hosted by Martin Luther King III, human rights activist Arndrea Waters King, Legacy+ Founder Craig Kielburger and social entrepreneur Marc Kielburger, My Legacy will premiere on Monday, January 20, 2025.

Debuting on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the weekly My Legacy podcast will bring listeners conversations with people such as Mel Robbins, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, David Oyelowo, Billy Porter, Martin Sheen, and others. These notable figures will be joined by a loved one or trusted confidante who knows them best – family members, friends and mentors, offering new perspectives on the trials, triumphs and truths behind their incredible journeys. Through candid reflections, the series will uncover how their stories of resilience and growth contributed to building their living legacies and a fulfilled life. New episodes will be available on Mondays.

 The co-produced My Legacy podcast joins the ‘Realize the Dream' initiative to foster unity and empower communities across America – a movement inspired by the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s vision to create a society rooted in peace, justice, equality and love for all.  As part of the celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy, iHeartMedia will award a $5 million Spotlight Media Grant to the ‘Realize the Dream’ Movement to help inspire communities across the U.S. to perform 100 million hours of service before the 100^th anniversary of Dr. King’s birth on January 15, 2029. iHeart launched the Spotlight Media Grant Program in 2020 to support organizations making a positive impact within the communities iHeart serves.

Monster BTK

   iHeartMedia and Tenderfoot TV have announced the expansion of their wildly Monster true-crime podcast franchise. Through the lens of the victims and family, the new installment, Monster: BTK, will explore the notorious serial killer’s life and crimes, and the tireless investigations that ultimately brought him to justice. “Monster: BTK” will premiere on January 13 with new episodes available on Mondays.

Hosted by veteran journalist Susan Peters, who covered news developments around the serial killer as they unfolded, Monster: BTK will reveal the true story of Dennis Rader, known as the BTK Killer (Bind, Torture, Kill), who murdered at least 10 people in Kansas between 1974 and 1991. BTK's notoriety was bolstered by his taunting letters to police and phone calls to the media. Rader's identity was finally revealed in 2004 to the shock of his family, his community and the world. The new Monster installment will feature  interviews and commentary from BTK’s daughter, Kerri Rawson, famed FBI profiler and author, John Douglas, author Katherine Ramsland who co-wrote the book Confession of a Serial Killer with Rader, as well as survivors and family members of his victims, providing first-hand accounts and new insights that will add new layers of depth to the well-known story.
