iHeart Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month With Podcasts & Music

September 15 marked the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month, a four-week-long spotlight on the vibrant multicultural community that contributes to every facet of culture and society.

While I don't often write about iHeart any longer (primarily because it's not Indie podcasting-friendly), the company isn't afraid of right-wing backlash for celebrating heritage months. You know what I mean: "Like a yo, why isn't there a white person's month?"

If you're interested, stay tuned to iHeart all month for new podcasts and music playlists celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month.

First up, listen to the top Latin hits of the moment with the “Hispanic Heritage Month” playlist on the iHeartRadio app and online at iHeart.com, featuring artists Karol G, Feid, Marc Anthony, Myke Towers and many more.

When it comes to podcasts, turn to new programming from our My Cultura Podcast Network, including the brand-new show The Moment with Jorge Ramos and Paola Ramos featuring the powerhouse father-and-daughter team sitting down with politicians, artists, activists and thinkers to bring you depth and analysis from a unique Latino perspective. The first episode drops on September 17th.

This month also brings the return of several shows, including season two of More Better with Stephanie & Melissa featuring “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” costars and real-life besties Stephanie Beatriz and Melissa Fumero as they team up for a weekly podcast that will make you smile.

On September 18, tune in Thursdays to unravel the captivating story behind Sacred Scandal: The Fall of Marcial Maciel – a gripping investigative podcast uncovering the shocking life and crimes of Marcial Maciel, the founder and former leader of the Legion of Christ. Praised as a holy figure, Marcial Maciel lived a life of abuse, manipulation and deception. Hosted by Elena Sada, a survivor and former high-ranking member of the organization, this series explores Maciel's rise to power, his extensive abuse and his eventual downfall.

Later this month, the award-winning Radio Ambulante is back with new episodes starting September 30. The Spanish language podcast uses long-form audio journalism to tell neglected and under-reported Latin American and Latino stories. Tune in Tuesdays.

iHeart says: "We are committed to celebrating and amplifying Latino voices not only throughout Hispanic Heritage Month, but all year round – including the 2025 iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina on October 25 at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida. Get tickets now to see the lineup of hit artists including Gilberto Santa Rosa, Morat, Olga Tañón, Kapo, Chyno y Nacho, Elvis Crespo and more to be announced."
