On April 8th: “You’re not just making it up,” says Randall H. Duckett, journalist and author of the book, Chronic Pain Chronicles: Insightful and Inspiring Stories of Resolve, Resilience and Relief.
Diagnosed at age six with a severe form of an inherited disease that causes the bones and joints to deform leading to osteoarthritis throughout the body, Duckett is intimately familiar with chronic pain. Having endured eight joint replacement surgeries, Duckett never minimizes the toll that long-lasting pain can take on the body and psyche. Duckett will be a guest on the April 8 Crow’s Feet: Life As We Age podcast hosted by Jan M. Flynn, offering realistic hope and help to those living with the obstacles and stigma in getting their real pain addressed.
On April 22, take a “deeper dive” into the poetry of Jean Anne Feldeisen, author of the new book South Jersey Sand: A Memoir in Poetry. Feldeisen writes about her upbringing in South Jersey, covering family history, childhood, love, loss, and parenting.
Feldeisen, a retired psychotherapist and writer, began writing poetry in her 70s. Her first book, Not All Are Weeping, was published in 2023. Host Betsy Allen will discuss Feldeisen’s love of poetry, what inspires her, and capturing your memories for the page.
