One long-standing meme is that women use bathroom visits to chat. That meme becomes the foundation of a "girls" podcast that is fun, chatty, almost like listening in to their conversation. It's a wonderful metaphor in which to build their audio empire.
Here's what the creators/hosts say: "Welcome to The Girls Bathroom! We’re Sophia and Cinzia, life-long besties who share a YouTube channel. The Girls Bathroom is a place we all know to be full of girl chat and gossip, and the place we often confide in girls we’ve never even met before! In this podcast we want to help you with your dilemmas, by trying to make sense of these boys wasting our time, the girls trying to make our lives difficult and all the things in between. So come join us for a fun but real chat in the girls' bathroom! Disclaimer: we can’t promise we’ll stay on topic!!"

The Girls Bathroom is a popular, chart-topping U.K. podcast hosted by best friends Sophia Tuxford and Cinzia Baylis-Zullo, focusing on relatable "girl talk," relationships, and listener dilemmas. Aimed at young women, it features "Girl Talk" and "Boy Talk" segments that offer advice on friendships and dating, originating from their successful YouTube series.
Hosts, Sophia and Cinzia, are life-long friends and content creators. The show centers on navigating relationships, friendship drama, and sharing embarrassing or funny listener-submitted stories. The show features weekly episodes, often split into discussions about "girl talk" (female friendships/issues) and "boy talk" (dating dilemmas).
To their credit, the hosts have built a strong community, with over 10 million all-time listens as of 2021 and a dedicated Patreon for extra content. The podcast grew out of popular "boy talk" and "girl talk" videos on their shared YouTube channel
The podcast officially launched in May 2019, and the show has released more than 350 episodes. Part of the
Acast Creator Network, the show has just hit 10 million all-time listens.
Some notable episodes include: X-RATED is BACK, and "we’re diving headfirst into our sexual awakenings…
because apparently when Shrek turns human in Shrek 2, that did something
to Sophia! From dolphins allegedly plotting kidnappings, to Blue
Therapy debates, to the most unhinged confessions (yes, we’re talking
peeing, unexpected kinks, and questionable bedtime behavior … this
episode is all over the place in the best way. It’s chaotic and
honestly? We might need help. P.S. Gerald, if you’re listening… please
don’t kidnap us."
Another wild ride is, "Men using the stairmaster, men on scooters, eating apples and microfiber cloths… niche pet peeves have officially hit an all-time high here at
TGB HQ. This week we’re debating prom dress regrets (spoiler: we have
none, and we stand by our choices), before diving into a truly unhinged
dilemma involving a saboteur...and yes, it’s Sarah’s own mum. Plus,
we’ve got a special one-off star of the week to restore our faith in
girlhood!"
In the video version, you have the option to turn off video, which is convenient if you're engaged in a task while listening. The studio for the podcast is nicely decorated with oversized, comfy chairs, neutral colors, fuzzy blankets, a white dog, and nicely crafted cabinet with their podcast name prominently displayed. I am more comfortable when the camera maintains its wider view with both hosts in the frame. When the camera shot isolates each host and switches to each host as they talk, I feel like I'm on a Disney World ride.
The Girls Bathroom is great fun. The hosts approximate IRL conversations with bullseye accuracy.
