IMDB Recognizes Creators; You Could Be Beautiful Podcast Available, Star Unwrapped Podcast Premieres; Airwave Has A Big Announcement, Season Two Of If Objects Could Talk
IMDb.com announced the introduction of “Digital Creator” as a new professional category on both IMDb and IMDbPro
When Amazon-owned IMDb and IMDbPro officially launched the “Digital Creator” professional category, the company targeted internet content creators whose rรฉsumรฉs live primarily on video and social platforms. While the new feature lets creators build a database profile without traditional film or television credits, the initial launch focuses on specific video-centric sub-professions: Streamer, Vlogger, Video Essayist, Video Creator, Gaming Creator, Influencer.
Even though “Podcaster” isn’t a baseline sub-profession under the new Digital Creator umbrella, podcasters are still fully supported across the platform in other ways:
- Existing Title Support: IMDb has formally accepted standalone and episodic podcasts as eligible titles in its database.
- Traditional Industry Credits: If you produce or host a podcast listed on IMDb, you will still generate credits as a Producer, Writer, Director, or Host, which automatically populate on your main IMDb name page.
- IMDb noted during the rollout that it plans to continue expanding its professional categories based on industry feedback.
Personally, I’d still like to see a profession stipulated for Podcaster on IMDBb.

The series explores how poetry in all its forms — including music, art, and nature — brings beauty and presence to daily life. We need more beauty in the U.S. now, with all the ugliness from the current administration.
The episodes feature poets, yes, but also actors, comedians, and teachers. Hosted by Maggie Smith and Faith Salie, and a production of WBUR, the first episode features actor Henry Winkler telling hosts Maggie Smith and Faith Salie about the poetry he’s found in everything from fly fishing to the music of Lin-Manuel Miranda to the acting performances of the late Robin Williams.

Shooting Star Unwrapped Podcast Premieres
Shooting Star Children’s Hospices has launched Shooting Star Unwrapped, its first official podcast, hosted by the charity’s Executive Vice-President Karen Sugarman MBE. Released every two weeks, the podcast features heartfelt, honest, and inspiring conversations with some of the UK’s most recognizable names in entertainment, music, and television, exploring their lives, careers, and personal connections to Shooting Star.
No episode is complete without a sweet treat. Every guest is invited to bring their favorite indulgence to enjoy over a cup of tea and a chat, whether it's a treasured family recipe, a favorite biscuit, or a much-loved chocolate bar. These treats unlock fond memories, laughter and stories that listeners won’t hear anywhere else.
Whether a long-time supporter or discovering Shooting Star for the first time, listeners are offered a unique insight into the people behind the charity and the families they support. Shooting Star Children’s Hospices offers vital care and support to families with a baby, child or young person with a life-limiting condition, or who have been bereaved.
To support the charity’s vital fundraising needs, each guest also generously donates an exclusive item to the Virtual Charity Shop, giving listeners the chance to own or experience something truly special while helping ensure the charity continues to be there now and long into the future.
The series launches with two fabulous episodes. Episode one is the iconic Dame Joan Collins DBE, a proud Vice-President of Shooting Star for over two decades. In this exclusive first episode, Karen Sugarman MBE sits down with her long-time friend to reflect on Dame Joan’s extraordinary career in show business, from Dynasty’s famously talked-about pool scene to being appointed a Dame, as well as the importance of family, friendship, and her lasting commitment to the charity and the bonds she has built with the children and families it supports.
For episode two, Karen Sugarman MBE sits down with Michael Ball OBE — singer, presenter, actor and proud Vice-President of Shooting Star Children’s Hospices. The conversation is relaxed, funny and full of stories from Michael’s remarkable career, spanning everything from Les Misรฉrables, duetting with Tony Hadley, to Radio 2. They also chat about friendship and the importance of giving back. From giant chocolate buttons and loyal fans to memorable fundraising moments, Michael reflects on the experiences that have shaped his life, and on his long association with Shooting Star.

Since starting out as a volunteer in 1986, Karen has spent four decades in cancer and palliative care, joining Shooting Star in 2003 and bringing many celebrity friends into the charity along the way, including Dame Joan Collins DBE, Simon Cowell, Michael Ball OBE, Tony Hadley MBE and Brenda Blethyn. She has given talks about the critical need for hospice care at 10 Downing Street, Buckingham Palace and the Royal Albert Hall; was awarded an MBE in 2020 for services to life-limited children and their families; and has been nominated for a Woman of the Year Award in 2026.
TYT Names Airwave as Exclusive Advertising Sales Partner Across Premium Video, Audio and Live Inventory
TYT, one of the largest independent news and politics networks in digital media, today announced a strategic partnership with Airwave, naming
the podcast and video network its exclusive third-party advertising sales representative across a defined portfolio of TYT’s premium inventory.
Under the agreement, Airwave will represent premium advertising opportunities across TYT’s podcast, digital video and live programming, including TYT’s premium Google Ad Manager 360 inventory — YouTube’s partner sales program.
Airwave is expanding its in-house sales operation and recently hired Charles Dannison as Senior Vice President of Podcast Sales to expand its sales team and lead strategic sales initiatives. Dannison brings more than 20 years of experience in audio and digital advertising, including more than a decade in podcast monetization.
The agreement brings together two independent digital media companies with complementary strengths: TYT’s multiplatform reach and highly engaged news audience, and Airwave’s growing advertising sales infrastructure and expertise in monetizing independent media brands.

Getty Launches Second Season of Family Podcast “If Objects Could Talk”
Getty has announced the launch of season two of If Objects Could Talk, an award-winning, family-friendly podcast that brings objects from its art collection to life for curious young minds. Released weekly, season two presents 10 episodes that investigate the stories behind artworks from the museum’s sculpture and decorative arts collection.
While season one focused on artifacts from the Getty Villa’s antiquities collection, such as an Egyptian cat statuette and an owl coin, this season dives into the quirky histories behind objects housed at the Getty Center, ranging from the Middle Ages to the late 19th century.
The first episode is available to stream now, and is ‘hosted’ by a teeny-tiny flea on the glass slide of a Rococo French microscope. Upcoming episodes include the spirited voices of a traveling snail perched on a nearly nine-foot-tall bronze vase; a griffin on a chandelier that spills centuries-old gossip; a gravity-defying bronze horse; an adventurous blue cat lovingly named “Purrqoise” by public vote; and more.
“We hope audiences will revel in these imaginative stories brought to life by our dynamic voice actors and immersive sound design,” said Zoe Goldman, podcast producer at the J.
